The hotel experience was a mixed bag. While the arrival and concierge service were impressive, the overall condition of the rooms left much to be desired. The dining options offered great potential, but the execution fell short, especially during breakfast. The spa facilities had their highlights, but aspects like the jacuzzi and pool jets could use improvement. With a bit of renovation and a focus on consistency across services, this place could truly shine.

Rooms
5.0
The signature room felt quite dated with old furnishings and an uncomfortable bathroom setup, lacking a proper shower head.
Service
6.0
While the initial service was impressive, like quick luggage handling, there were lapses later, especially with room delivery and late bedding for the sofa bed.
Location
7.0
The hotel was busy, which detracted from relaxation and peace, and parking was an additional expense of £15, which felt inappropriate at this price point.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast experience was disappointing with limited options and poorly executed items like the microwave scrambled eggs.
Facilities
6.0
The spa area had potential but failed to deliver with weak jacuzzi jets and overcrowded pool situations.

The hotel is spectacular, with beautiful architecture and well-maintained grounds. Our room had panoramic views that exceeded our expectations. The dining experience was less than stellar, particularly during busy times, and we faced frustrations with room service which negatively impacted our stay. Despite the stunning surroundings and amenities, the high parking fees and inconsistent service made it hard to fully enjoy our experience.

Rooms
8.0
Our room was spacious, had a spectacular view over the golf course, and included lovely touches like fresh Welsh cakes and Prosecco. However, the bathroom felt somewhat outdated.
Service
5.0
Service was inconsistent; it took far too long to resolve issues we encountered, particularly with getting a corkscrew for our wine. This lack of responsiveness was disappointing.
Location
9.0
The location is very scenic, set in beautiful grounds with lovely views. It felt a bit removed from other attractions, but the atmosphere was relaxing and picturesque.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was quite hectic, especially during breakfast when certain key items ran out quickly, leaving many guests waiting uncomfortably. The quality was good, but service could improve.
Facilities
9.0
The facilities, particularly the spa and pool, were fantastic and well-maintained. They added a luxurious touch to our stay.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the staff was genuinely helpful and went out of their way to assist, I felt disappointed by the dining options and the quality received for the price. The location is pleasant with some nice surroundings, but the amenities felt lacking for a supposed luxury hotel.

I was not impressed with the dining experience; options seemed limited and some dishes poorly executed, which led to a frustrating meal.
Facilities

The facilities, including the swimming pool, were pleasant. However, I expected more in terms of leisure options given the hotel's promises.

My stay at Celtic Manor was quite mixed. The luxurious feel of the hotel and its extensive amenities were impressive, but unfortunately, the service did not match the high standards expected. While I enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and some lovely dining experiences, the overall management of the dining areas left much to be desired. Furthermore, the problems with cleanliness and attention to detail in the rooms were disappointing given the price point.

Rooms

The dining options can be hit or miss, as my experience varied between exceptional meals and lukewarm breakfasts, which was quite disappointing. I had some issues with check-in and room selection that impacted my stay, but the overall facilities provided a relaxing escape.
